NIGHT RATING

An important addition to your Private Pilots Licence or LAPL is the night rating course. With the night rating under your belt, you will never have to worry about the sunset again.

Course Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 hours of flight at night
  • Minimum of 1 hour of solo flight at night 
  • Minimum of 5 solo take-offs and 5 solo landings at night 
  • Completion of a navigational route at night 

Prior Requirements

  • PPL(A) or LAPL licence holder
  • Minimum of a class 2 medical certificate

Prices

Our night rating package is based off of the following items, and varies depending on your Fly-LSA membership status:


  • 5 hours of dual flight instruction 
  • 5 hours of ground instruction

No membership / Pay as you Fly - £2,000

Silver Membership - £1,800

Gold Membership - £1,700
