How Long will the night rating take?

Night ratings can often be done in just a few evenings, subject to weather.

We recommend booking your night rating from October to April due to the longer nights and therefore more flying oppotunities.

Do I have to take any tests?

There are no tests required for your night rating, you will be evaluated by your instructor thoughout the duration of your course.

What equipment do I need?

In addition to your standard flying equipment, you will need the following:

How much does it cost?

There are a few pricing options relating to your current club membership status:

Prices are based on the course requirements of 5 hours of dual flight instruction and 5 hours of ground instruction.

Landing fees and instrument approach fees are not included.

are there any prior requirements before doing the night rating course?

The only two requirements are that you must already hold either a PPL(A) / LAPL and that you must also have a valid medical certificate.
