The IR(R) IMC course is a great addition to the PPL(A) and will boost your confidence knowing you can deal with any unexpected weather events that head your way.
With modules that focus on flying in adverse weather conditions, the IR(R) focuses on radio navigation and instrument approaches that may help you out in tricky situations.
The IR(R) course requires students to complete a minumum of 15 hours of flight instruction, 10 of which you will be using only the aircraft instruments at your disposal. You will also have to complete a ground examination and a final skills test, conducted by one of our on staff examiners, before the rating can be added to your licence.
